Starter Motor Operation

When the engine is activated (via start button or ignition key), an electrical signal is sent to the starter solenoid. This component:

  1. Channels power from the vehicle's battery to the starter motor
  2. Activates the starter motor and Bendix gear system
  3. Engages the vehicle's flywheel to crank the engine
  4. Initiates the combustion process in petrol/diesel engines

Once the engine is running, the starter motor disengages automatically as the engine becomes self-sustaining.
