Manual Starters Overview
Manual starters are devices operated manually without requiring expert intervention. These starters feature a button or rotary knob that enables users to turn connected equipment on or off through mechanical linkages that open or close contacts.
Important Safety Note: Manual starters do not break control circuits during power loss, which means motors could restart automatically when voltage is restored.

Starter Motor Operation
When the engine is activated (via stop/start button or traditional key), an electrical signal is sent to the starter solenoid. This component directs charge from the vehicle's battery to the starter motor, activating both the motor and the starter drive (Bendix gear system).
The starter motor turns the engine's flywheel, initiating the combustion process in petrol and diesel vehicles. Once the engine is running, the starter mechanism disengages as the engine no longer requires the electrical spark.
