Manual Starters
Manual starters are devices operated manually without requiring expert intervention. They feature a button or rotary knob that enables users to turn connected equipment on or off through mechanical linkages that open or close contacts.

Manual starters do not break control circuits during power loss, meaning motors could restart automatically when power is restored. This requires safety consideration in certain applications.

Starter Motor Operation
When the engine is activated (via stop/start button or key), an electrical signal is sent to the starter solenoid. This component transfers charge from the battery to the starter motor, activating it along with the starter drive (Bendix gear system).
The starter motor turns the engine's flywheel, initiating combustion in petrol and diesel engines. Once the engine runs independently, the mechanism disengages the starter motor from the flywheel.
