Manual Starters Overview

Manual starters are devices operated manually, featuring simple operation without requiring expert intervention. The starter includes a button or rotary knob that enables users to turn connected equipment on or off through mechanical linkages.

Starter Motor Operation

When activated (via stop/start button or traditional key), an electrical signal is sent to the starter solenoid. This component transfers charge from the vehicle's battery to the starter motor, activating the starter drive (Bendix gear system) which engages the flywheel.

The starter motor cranks the engine to initiate combustion in petrol/diesel vehicles. Once operational, the mechanism disengages the starter motor from the gear and flywheel as the engine becomes self-sustaining.
