Manual Starters Overview
Manual starters are simple devices operated manually without requiring expert intervention. They feature a button or rotary knob that controls the connected equipment through mechanical linkages that open or close contacts to start/stop the motor.
Important Note: These starters don't break the control circuit during power loss, which means the motor may restart automatically when power returns - a critical safety consideration for some applications.

Starter Motor Operation
When activated (via stop/start button or key), an electrical signal is sent to the starter solenoid, which transfers power from the battery to the starter motor. This activates the starter drive (Bendix gear system), engaging the vehicle's flywheel.
The starter motor cranks the engine to initiate combustion. Once the engine is running, the mechanism disengages the starter motor from the flywheel as the engine no longer requires the electrical spark to maintain operation.
