Manual Starters Overview
Manual starters are simple, user-friendly devices operated manually without requiring expert intervention. They feature a button or rotary knob that controls the connected equipment through mechanical linkages that open or close contacts to start/stop the motor.
Important Note: Manual starters don't break control circuits during power loss, which may cause motors to restart automatically when power returns - a critical safety consideration for some applications.

Starter Motor Operation
When the engine is activated (via stop/start button or traditional key), an electrical signal is sent to the starter solenoid. This component transfers power from the vehicle's battery to the starter motor, activating it along with the starter drive (Bendix gear system).
The starter motor turns the engine's flywheel, initiating combustion in petrol and diesel engines. Once the engine is running, the mechanism disengages the starter motor from the flywheel as the engine no longer requires the electrical spark to maintain operation.
